Inevitably there will always be those who leave Christmas shopping till the last minute. Admit it we’ve all been there! With that in mind I’ve compiled a kind of wish list inspired by those I follow on Instagram. Who doesn’t love scrolling through the pretty feeds of delights we wish would come wrapped under the tree. You never know this may be the year or you could always treat yourself to a last minute special gift.
As it is so close to Christmas I thought I’d make things a little easier & only feature Irish brands. There are so many fantastic Irish designers & shops out there. Irish design has always had a unique spark to it which I think we should advocate for whenever possible. I’ve chosen just a few this time round but expect a lot more to be featured throughout 2017…
I love Chupi. For my birthday last year my boyfriend (now Fiancé…sorry have to give correct title just in case he reads this!) bought me the disc chain with my initial P on it. If you’re looking for something that represents the nature of Ireland then Chupi is it. Designer Chupi Sweetman takes inspo from the stunning natural beauty around her from the imperfect twigs, feathers & autumnal leaves of the Irish countryside. Add a gemstone or two to complete the delicate piece. Chupi is available at their Powerscourt Townhouse Store but if internet shopping is your fave then you have till tomorrow to get clicking!

Sara O’Neill has just recently come under my radar & to be honest I just can’t get enough. Her Instagram feed is full to the brim of stunning images of the rugged coastline of Northern Ireland & of course her distinctive designs. Her Éadach range of silk scarfs are hauntingly magical. O’Neill brings Irish Folklore from the Banshee to The Children of Lir to life in the most beautiful of ways. An Éadach scarf is defo on my wishlist I just can’t decide which one. Éadach silk scarfs are available from Brown Thomas & check out her FB page for further stockists.
Amy Huberman for Newbridge Silverware
Before you get excited I’m not suggesting Amy Huberman as the perfect Christmas gift…well I’m sure there are plenty of blokes out there who would love to see Amy wrapped up under the tree but she is taken, so might not be possible. Instead you can have a little piece of jewellery designed by Amy. I have this Newbridge Silverware trinket featured on her Instagram. The cosmo trend is very now; from star spangled tops, bags, dresses, the fashion pack can’t get enough. Amy’s sun, moon & stars pendant can be worn at any length making it flexible enough to suit any Christmas rig out. Check out www.newbridgesilverware.com for stockists.
Dusty Boy Designs
Wall art is a big interiors trend right now. Thanks to the Instageneration our living room walls have become what Pinterest dreams are made of. Dusty Boy designs have an array of wall art slogans & prints that will give others insta envy. Their stationary range is befitting if yours needs an overhaul for 2017.
I hope this little list helps in some way towards the last minute shop. If not at least now you have a few more insta feeds to scroll through over the festive season. Just to let you none of the above are affiliated links. All opinions are mine.
